Zelda: Breath of the Wild - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition is undoubtedly the best way to play one of the greatest games of all time. The visual and performance enhancements remove any issues that you may have had to endure with the original game. It's practically flawless from that perspective.Sadly, the Zelda Notes app really brings the whole thing down. Useful features that should have been implemented in-game have been relegated to your smartphone, and using it completely breaks immersion in this incredible world. I'm only thankful that it's not even remotely mandatory. Leave Zelda Notes to one side, and you've got the definitive presentation of a modern classic.
Read full review ↗The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is still a masterpiece, even after eight years. While the shrines, lack of proper dungeons, frustrating difficulty with the DLCs, and odd choices with the Switch 2 version can pull players away from the immersive experience, the narrative, gameplay, extra content, and improved visuals on Switch 2 more than make up for any low points. The legacy of Breath of the Wild has persevered for nearly a decade, and for good reason. If you haven't played it for yourself, then you owe it to yourself to play a genuine contender for one of the best games of all time.
Read full review ↗The Nintendo Switch 2 version of Zelda Breath of the Wild is undoubtedly the best way to enjoy this masterpiece. Again, it's impossible to deny yourself the pleasure despite the notable absence of small new features that could have been a welcome bonus. If you're in the process of finishing the game or haven't had a chance to dive into it yet, now's the time. With its pinpoint resolution, exemplary fluidity, and an overall improvement in all its graphics, it's a real treat. A pristine gem from the Nintendo Switch 1, which is sublimated here at a lower cost.
Read full review ↗The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Switch 2 Edition is the same game that you know and love, but with additional bells and whistles that somehow make a perfect game even better. With a feature-rich companion app, true 4K visuals, buttery-smooth 60fps, and an extra save file, what's not to love?
Read full review ↗The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition is the best version of the game you can play, that is undeniable. This version cleans up all the performance issues that were present on the Nintendo Switch while also giving a nice resolution boost with HDR. The Zelda Notes feature is kind of useless to me but others may find it helpful.
Read full review ↗The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Nintendo Switch 2 Edition is the definitive experience of a Switch classic. It has its design flaws and can be a little unrewarding at times, but it excels at rewarding players with an extrinsic experience. If you didn’t love it before, you might be more open to it now. If you already loved it, then you’ll fall in love with it all over again.
Read full review ↗The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition is the best way to replay the classic game in the series. Its visual and performance improvements make the adventure more fluid and more stunning, both on TV and on the handheld screen. Not all of its improvements are unanimous, however. The Zelda Notes app brings additional useful and interesting tools, at the cost of an extremely questionable implementation. Finally, the lack of the expansion pack prevents us from calling it the definitive and complete version of the game.
Read full review ↗The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition doesn’t change the story or core gameplay, but it runs better than ever. 4K resolution, 60FPS, HDR, and faster load times give it the technical upgrade it always needed. A second save slot is a nice addition, and the Zelda Notes app adds optional tools and lore, even if using your phone feels clunky. It’s not a new game, but it’s the best way to play this one.
Read full review ↗The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild remains a revolutionary masterpiece to this day, still capable of astonishing with its bold ideas and the ambition of its open world, now shining even brighter thanks to a Switch 2 edition that finally gives it the technical polish it deserves.
Read full review ↗An already amazing game made even better, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is superb in this upgraded format. Technically much more sound and with fun little extras, this is the definitive edition and a killer addition to the Switch 2 library. It's a shame that, ultimately, Zelda Notes is separate from the game, but it does add some great extra content for those willing to download and sync up.
