Building a world is fun, but the quest you have to complete to get the materials you need is as dull as they come
Read full review ↗There's nothing you've not seen before in The LEGO Movie 2 Videogame -- unless you haven't seen the film yet. This is largely a by-the-numbers LEGO platformer with a variety of open levels in which to find collectibles and solve simple puzzles. The low difficulty makes this perfect for children to play with friends or family, and the sandbox area will let you get a little creative too. It's a safe entry in the series that fans will enjoy, but if you're getting tired of the same old formula, there's not much new to see here.

Read full review ↗Overall, The LEGO Movie 2 Videogame serves as a fun romp through different space systems with some familiar characters.
Read full review ↗Like the film it's based on, The LEGO Movie 2 Videogame changes things up from the usual formula without harming the overall product at the end.
Read full review ↗The LEGO series usually is an enjoyable game to play. However, The LEGO Movie 2 - Videogame left all the charisma behind just to take advantage of the movie premiere.
Read full review ↗It's sad how this Lego game is completely devoid of the unique humor and style which made previous Lego games so enjoyable. This personality and flair, which has been a staple of the Lego video game brand, being absent from this latest title is disheartening. I'd recommend avoiding The Lego Movie 2 Videogame unless you have to play absolutely everything Lego. Even then, there are just much better games in the series that deserve your attention.

Drastically. And in doing so, they've taken such a huge step backward that this feels more LEPIN than LEGO. A heavily flawed shell of what the franchise had become.
Read full review ↗The LEGO Movie 2 Videogame features some moments of fun and it's an accessible game for players of all backgrounds...but the game doesn't really fulfil its mission: due to rather empty, dull worlds, few common points with the movie and technical issues, The LEGO Movie 2 Videogame is nothing short of a big disappointment.
