Creative, content-heavy, and realistic, The Sims 4: City Living expansion pack is my all-time favorite expansion and saved The Sims 4 for me.

City Living does not correct many of the shortcomings of the original Sims 4, however, brings some fresh ideas. The project begins to shine with new colors. Of course, it's not even close to amazing cities from The Sims 3, but not those small locations, which were introduced in Sims 4 at launch. If the base version of the game seems to be too small, it is the first candidate to be added to the shopping list.

It keeps going like that, too. The Sims 4: City Living encourages you to be constantly out and doing things. In a word, it is refreshing. It's precisely what I felt was missing from the base game of The Sims 4 and from every expansion since. My only true criticism of it is that it's an expansion. I wish that the base game could've felt as real as City Living does, and I wish I didn't have to spend $40 on top of the $40 for The Sims 4. If you've been holding off on The Sims 4 until That One Expansion, City Living is the one.

I haven’t fallen in love with a new Sims expansion in a while but I am so happy I finally have one that is keeping my attention.

If you already love The Sims 4, then this expansion is a must-buy for you. If you’re on the fence, I’m not sure City Living will change your mind.

While previous attempts to simulate city life were certainly fun, City Living surpasses them all by making the new locale of San Myshuno feel alive, bustling, and connected.

The Sims 4 City Living creates new and meaningful gameplay on the Sims formula, and is the best expansion The Sims 4 has seen to date. It has smart gameplay, new ways to interact with the world, and an amazing new setting. If living the city life sounds fun, you cannot go wrong with City Living, however if that doesn’t intrigue you, there is not much here for you.

A fantastic expansion, giving you plenty of new things to do and lots of new places to visit, even if some of the bugs and the load times become a little exasperating.

An expansion that every simmer must have in a similar way to Sims 2 Apartment Life. It could be bigger, but that the only flaw of this expansion pack.
