If you’ve been looking for something that puts the MMO back into MMORPG, this is could be just what you’re looking for.

Throne and Liberty is an ongoing game, so the story could become more fleshed out, the mechanics you use to interact with the world could become more nuanced, and the technical issues could be fixed. But as it all stands now, it's just an okay way to dip your toe into a relatively console-friendly MMORPG that doesn't demand endless amounts of your time for you to enjoy - although there are better games to play with your precious hours. If you're looking for something deeper than that, though, you won't find it here.

Throne and Liberty is a visually stunning MMORPG that brings a lot to the table with its lush environments and old-school PvP gameplay. However, its overly complicated mechanics could prove to be a significant barrier for many players.

An old school MMO dragged up to a modern standard. NCSoft and Amazon have a distinctly Korean fantasy adventure finessed for a global launch. The result is n enjoyable leap into a vibrant world that is more than worth the total cost of zero dollars down.

Throne and Liberty is an MMORPG that brings back the spirit of the classic games of the genre, while introducing some modern features that give it its own character.

UI issues aside, I have been enjoying my time with Throne and Liberty, and do plan to play more of it post-review.

NCSOFT and Amazon Games bring us the MMO with the best visual and artistic quality to date, featuring incredibly detailed and beautiful environments. While its story is somewhat forgettable, Throne and Liberty starts with a very solid foundation in its mechanics and overall systems, giving a good indication of the long road ahead.

Throne and Liberty is a great MMORPG, a very risky bet by Ncsoft and Amazon Games that, if it catches on with players, has all the makings of becoming one of those titles that will be talked about for a long time.
