Torchlight Infinite achieves sufficiency by virtue of the good ideas that characterize the combat system and classes.

Torchlight: Infinite fails to capture the spirit of the original series, offering a dull, repetitive gameplay loop that will appeal to very few people.

Considering Torchlight Infinite is a free-to-play title, the hours of fun I got — with both free-to-play and paid characters — is a good sign. If you’re interested, check it out; at best, you get a great title to love at no additional fee.
