Trombone Champ: Unflattened is a great conversion to VR, and a natural fit for the tech, adding yet another strong rhythm game in PSVR2's collection.
Read full review ↗Trombone Champ Unflattened! is a hoot of a time. Being able to play all of these songs with the trombone center stage is fantastic and as silly as the game is overall, it really creates a new appreciation for the trials and tribulations of trombonists.
Read full review ↗Trombone Champ: Unflattened takes cues from it's predecessor, and is maybe too difficult at first. Once you get the hang of it, it picks up rather nicely. It's not the pick up and laugh uncontrollably game it used to be, but it's definitely one of those get friends in the room, and watch trombonic chaos ensue.
Read full review ↗Trombone Champ: Unflattened is one of the funniest VR experiences I've ever had, and I don't think my wife has ever enjoyed watching me play a game as much as she enjoyed me performing with a screeching cat as a trombone. This is the perfect game to hop into with a group of friends and take turns trying to earn the most toots, or just laugh at each other as you put on ridiculous performances. If you're a fan of rhythm games, definitely do yourself a favor and pick up Unflattened.
Read full review ↗Trombone Champ: Unflattened is a testament to the power of pure, unadulterated fun in gaming. It takes a simple concept and executes it brilliantly in VR, creating an experience that's both accessible and deeply entertaining.
Read full review ↗Trombone Champ: Unflattened is a great VR implementation of an already fun game. It has been translated into VR in a very loving and careful way. The tracking is superb, the menus are flawless and it has none of the VR messiness sometimes associated with the medium. Flat2VR Studios have done a magnificent job and I will certainly be keeping an eye on them in the future.
Read full review ↗It's hilarious rhythm game action that doesn't take itself to seriously, but if you peel back the quirks and the ridiculousness, there is a competent rhythm game humming under the hood.
Read full review ↗Trombone Champ: Unflattened! captures the absurdity of the original and perfectly translates it to the virtual realm. Tooting your way through songs, whether accurately or disgracefully delivers endless laughs and a delightful sense of chaos.
Read full review ↗Trombone Champ: Unflattened shows that Flat2VR Studios has tremendous potential ahead of it. The flat version went viral, but this VR adaptation makes the game even better. But, beware, don't be confused: it's made from scratch, it's not a port to use. It is a fantastic music and rhythm video game with a lot of humor that, honestly, you must have in your library yes or yes.
Read full review ↗It might not be as intuitive as the non-VR original, but Trombone Champ: Unflattened is still a pretty fun musical game for the Quest. If anything, it just shows how well Flat2VR is able to port games to a brand new ecosystem, making them feel even more immersive than before. I didn’t mind the fact it was a bit uglier and confusing to play. At the end of the day, I was pretending to play a trombone with a dumb smile on my face, missing most notes, without a care in the world. I just can’t wait to see what else these VR wizards are up to in the near future.
