While Yum Yum Cookstar may not be the deepest cooking game on the market, it shines with its cute visuals, accessible mechanics, and lighthearted gameplay. It’s a fun, casual distraction for those looking for something colourful and charming, though it might not hold your attention for extended play sessions.

Yum Yum Cookstar, though made from the remains of a Cooking Mama game, does its job as a low-price cooking game well enough, for better and worse.

I had a great time with Yum Yums Cookstar. If you're looking for fun, and I mean colourful fun, and to give your brain that little retuning it needs for memory and reflexes, picking this up won't disappoint.

Yum Yum Cookstar is a game that knows which audience it is aimed at and is executed with ease and will delight the little ones in the house. It's visually pleasing, the music is above expectations, and the variety of mini-games in the preparation of the recipes is enough to keep our little ones busy for quite some time. The difficulty and execution are very well adjusted although being intended for the public that is, the fact that the acid comments of the judges are only dubbed into English and without subtitles makes the game lose part of the grace and identity of which they can enjoy in English-speaking territories.

Yum Yum Cookstar is an unpretentious game that seeks to entertain the kids in the house or fans of simulators with a theme centered on cooking. It incorporates a lot of minigames and many recipes, but it sins of being slow between preparation and preparation.

Yum Yum Cookstar is a colorful cooking game that has you cooking and baking different things and presenting them to a jury. It's basically a collection of mini games that has its flaws but it's also quite a lot of fun for shorter sessions.

I really wanted to like Yum Yum Cookstar. I enjoyed the bright colours, some of the recipes were inspiring and the music was fun, but overall the game failed to keep me engaged. Learning the techniques was repetitive and took the joy out of making the recipes. There was a distinct lack of balance between the number of actions per mini-game and number of mini-games per recipe. The long loading time between each recipe step just made the whole process tedious. This was a game that promised so much but failed to deliver
