Zorro: The Chronicles

Bland, repetitive, and offering zero challenge, Zorro The Chronicles isn't aiming to be the next must-play title. What it does instead is gives children an entry point into other titles of the genre, so could be one to try if you have little ones desperate to play something new.

Zorro the Chronicles is a solid family-friendly action-adventure game but one that is mainly aimed at younger players. If you got a young gamer who enjoys the types of titles that Outright Games puts out then they will most likely enjoy this one too. Anyone older will likely find the gameplay to be too simple and repetitive to get much enjoyment out of it.

I'm glad that I waited for Zorro The Chronicles to get a patch before reviewing it but even without the abundance of bugs, it's still an overall underwhelming adventure. It does show promise, though, so I'd gladly play a sequel.

Zorro The Chronicles feels like a step back in time in everything and is mainly aimed at children between the ages of seven and twelve. There isn't really a story in the game, but there are eighteen missions that you can go through with Diego or his sister Ines. The missions are not very difficult, but entertaining enough if you can get the game for a small price.

Zorro The Chronicles belongs to the category of games for children and young people, from which most consumers do not expect much. That is probably why some reviewers quickly dismissed and underestimated this game. But, if you immerse yourself a little more, you will find that Zorro is a pleasant affair with interesting content and game mechanics.

Zorro The Chronicles doesn't even hide being a licensed title. Everything was treated absolutely conservatively, without paying attention to the gameplay mechanics. The inspirations of the best in the profession were wasted in favor of a small, generic narrative. An older player won't find anything here unless they're a parent.

A sanitized retelling of the legend of Zorro with simple controls and an innocent sense of humor that largely achieves its goals as a companion game to the new cartoon.

Once you become engaged in a fight the camera locks into one place until you leave the area that you are in. But as soon as you are under attack again it locks in. This makes for some difficult gameplay trying to figure out where everyone is.

Zorro: The Chronicles is a kid-friendly action-adventure that, despite some limitations, shows that the old fox has a few tricks up its sleeves.

Zorro The Chronicles is a low stake but also quite competent action adventure game that is fun for both younger gamers and the older generations who grew up with many different iterations of Zorro’s adventures.
