Enshrouded’s mix of Valheim-style survival and Breath of the Wild-style exploration make a wonderful pairing, but it still has slew of Early Access kinks to work out.
Read full review ↗Best-in-class building and a lovely atmosphere war against technical difficulties and an uninspiring premise for this early access survival crafting game.
Read full review ↗An expansive world, well-written lore, and decent base-building provide an enjoyable survival game alternative.
Read full review ↗Enshrouded is a remarkable survival-crafting game that successfully blends ARPG elements with the survival genre to create a distinct, fantastic, and memorable experience. Although still in Early Access, its content is so vast that it can keep you entertained for dozens, even hundreds, of hours.
Read full review ↗Enshrouded is a game that gave me a bit of a rough first impression but fairly quickly charmed me with its clever adventuring and fun decision-making for your character's build. The more I spent with it, the more I wanted to go back and continue my journey in the Embervale. Even if it can be a bit clunky as of right now, it is still a fairly priced game that gives you a much better experience than most open-world triple-A's on the market. It is impressive how much developer Keen Games has managed to do with a smaller team and budget.
Read full review ↗We’ve been having an absolute blast playing Enshrouded. Despite the performance issues, which one can expect in Early Access, it has scratched every itch a survival-action-RPG has to offer. Whether it’s exploring the gorgeous sprawling world, seeking out battle with great varied combat, or staying back at basecamp to use the unique building mechanics to make an empire, I’m very excited to see the finished product, as well as the plethora of content I’m sure Keen Games have in store. Read full review ↗Enshrouded showcases an excellent fusion of survival elements and creativity, establishing itself as a notable title in the action role-playing game scene. While players eagerly await the full launch, the early access version already provides a significant glimpse into the game’s potential.
Read full review ↗Enshrouded is a well-crafted third-person RPG with elements of survival, crafting, and a voxel world, where you can spend hundreds of hours building your own base, digging tunnels underground, or exploring a beautiful open map and battling enemies. The game offers a satisfying gameplay loop that will keep you entertained whether you’re playing solo or cooperating with other players. While some elements still need fine-tuning, even in Early Access, it’s clear that this game has tremendous potential—and even at this stage, it’s sure to eat up all your free time.
Read full review ↗Despite being in early access, Enshrouded shows incredible promise, and while it would be easy to write off the game as a Valheim clone, it's actually much more than that. The game has a noticeable difficulty spike, but it disappears as soon as someone joins you. The world of Embervale is simply breathtaking and perfectly combines hyperrealism and whimsical fantasy. Even the most dangerous parts of the game are pleasing to the eye, and the game itself is simply incredible.
Read full review ↗Enshrouded is an ambitious open-world survival game. Its large world and freedom make it fun to explore. It has cool features like voxel building that work really well. But too much repetitive travel and dull combat can be frustrating, which doesn't match its great overall design.
