He Who Watches is a well-crafted puzzle game with a steep difficulty curve. It’s great for fans of the genre who want a real challenge, but less recommended for casual players who just want a light mental workout. With just a few mechanics, it manages to create complex and well-thought-out puzzles, forcing the player to consider many options—even the most unlikely ones. It’s a shame that the mini-hints aren’t always helpful and that some bugs are a bit annoying—a sore spot that undermines the game’s playability.

He Who Watches is a wonderful game full of genius puzzles, interesting mechanics and deeply rewarding and satisfying secrets. My jaw has dropped countless times during my time with the game, and I can't recommend this year's best puzzle game enough to those who want to invest in uncovering its many layers.
