With unmemorable tracks and maps that completely lack the sense of scale we get in the life-sized, real-world environments of the Unleashed games, Hot Wheels Infinite Rush has sadly shed a ton of the series' special charm.
Read full review ↗Hot Wheels: Infinite Rush is a decent arcade racing game, but only because it features the same great handling from the Unleashed titles. Moving to an open world structure does little to add to the experience; if anything, I think it detracts from it. Having said that, there's absolutely still fun to be had here. Collecting all the cars and blasting through races is very enjoyable, and controlling these die-cast toys retains its appeal despite the game's faults.
Read full review ↗Infinite Rush is still a solid racing game, which is what makes the online multiplayer component so much more disappointing.
Read full review ↗Hot Wheels Infinite Rush is Milestone's latest exploration of the brand, now as an open world game.
Read full review ↗Hot Wheels Infinite Rush trades the imaginative, life-sized scale of the Unleashed games for a generic open-world approach, resulting in solid but forgettable racing that ranks as Milestone's least compelling Hot Wheels title yet.
Read full review ↗Hot Wheels: Infinite Rush is damn fun, and fulfils those childhood moments of driving those metal cars through classic playmats and the abundance of play sets. The Switch 2 version is still enjoyable, but it's a noticeable drop in quality from the other console and PC versions. Still, with a ton of cars, races, and collectibles to track down, the vastness of each map makes this a Hot Wheels fan's dream come true.
Read full review ↗Whatever the case, the core Hot Wheels experience is here and there's lots to do, but with a dearth of personality nor a reason to be as big as it is, Infinite Rush is every bit as hollow as it is huge. No amount of collecting everything and completing everything will mask this entry's lack of ambition, and in spite of all that it does well, these wheels aren't Hot, they're tepid.
Read full review ↗It's a shame the Switch 2 port is a bit lacking technically ; it looks and runs well, albeit at 30 fps, and unfortunately, the loading times are considerably longer than I would have liked...
Read full review ↗This charming racing game is ideal primarily for children and casual players. You can race across beautifully modeled islands, where there are plenty of races to run and things to smash. The arcade-style handling is easy for anyone to master. While we have seen all the game's elements elsewhere, here they are skillfully combined into a stylish, cohesive package.
