Melty Blood: Type Lumina

While not as robust as some other fighting games, Melty Blood: Type Lumina is overall solid with a fun mechanics, a varied roster, and a netcode that works. It might not be outstanding, but it's got what you need in a fighting game.

Melty Blood: Type Lumina became more interesting in the long run than some of its "big brothers" for simple reasons like free content and easy-to-handle gameplay. It's an excellent title coming from a studio that once again hits the nail on the head in a genre that is beginning to lack new and fresh ideas.

A solid 2D anime fighter that offers an experience akin to the original game.

If you have a soft spot for arcade-era classics like Guilty Gear, Marvel vs. Capcom, or Street Fighter III, then Type Lumina should definitely be on your radar. But if you plan to play online, there’s one big catch you should be aware of.

Melty Blood: Type Lumina went beyond fan service game for Type-moon fans, and built a strong foundation as 2D fighting game. However, the number of character is not enough to fulfill fan's need, and its scenario is too short. Also its PC version is not good to play multi play mode.

Those with a taste for speedy fighters will be right at home with Melty Blood: Type Lumina. The series' in-depth mechanics are alive and well in this reboot, making this arguably the best entry yet.

Melty Blood: Type Lumina's origins have never been officially released in Korea. So the reality is that the game is really for those who are already familiar with the original story and characters, as this title won't justify the full arc of the plot. But still, the game is more like a reboot of the existing fighting game and those who aren't really into competitive fighting games can still enjoy all the single player contents within the game. As this is their first initiative in Korean localization, it provides hopes of streamlining the Type-Moon franchise to have a place in Korea.
