While the quality of its sports varies drastically, Nintendo Switch Sports Resort is a fun and playful collection overall that shines as the party game it’s meant to be.
Read full review ↗As someone who played the original Wii Sports when it first released, and was awed by the rudimentary real-life movements being mimicked on screen, Nintendo Switch Sports Resort allowed me to feel that all over again as an adult. And it’s a feeling best felt surrounded by friends.
Read full review ↗Nintendo's knockabout sports series returns for its most refined outing yet; charming, wonderfully considered, and it doesn't require a room full of friends to be fun.
Read full review ↗As befits a casual game, Nintendo has pulled off something exceptionally difficult and made it look effortless. Nintendo Switch Sports Resort is a world in which enjoyment, discovery, challenge, and beauty seem to multiply the longer you spend with it.
Read full review ↗As the 20th anniversary of Wii Sports approaches, Nintendo Switch Sports Resort delivers the fifth and finest iteration of the series to date. The 12 sports provide a good variety, and while some of them continue to have the same (deliberate) control quirks that have remained for two decades now, the overall package is rammed with content regardless of whether you enjoy local or online multiplayer, or prefer to play alone.
Read full review ↗After the stumbling start of its predecessor, it's nice to see the series back on track in Nintendo Switch Sports Resort. While some of the 12 different sports might feel a little too safe, most of the classics feel better than they've ever been, and the newbies surprise and delight with some classic Nintendo intuition. Revamped customisation options and a surprising amount of single-player content both feel like open goals, but they also provide a great excuse to keep playing, even once the party is over. This just might be the Nintendo Sports series at its best. Now, if you'll excuse me, I've got a shoulder joint in desperate need of icing.

Read full review ↗Nintendo Switch Sports Resort is a triumphant, motion-controlled return to form that brings Wuhu Island to life in crisp 4K. Despite a somewhat modest sport selection at launch, its engaging single-player Island Crown mode, clever Joy-Con 2 features, and accessible local co-op make it an absolute must-play for families and motion-gaming fans alike.

Read full review ↗Has Nintendo finally recaptured the magic of Wii Sports, two decades later? Short answer: a resounding yes. Nintendo Switch Sports Resort doesn't reinvent the idea, but it serves a surprisingly content rich package with plenty of mechanical depth and content. The simplicity is still very much at its core, but there's a significant amount more nuance and refinement. Nintendo Switch Sports Resort is very much a game that anyone can enjoy, with room for competitive players to push further. Most importantly, it's a lot of fun!
