One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3

Instead of enjoying both fighting and dialogue, it became a weird kind of chore to play through battles just to progress the story.

One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3, from a gameplay standpoint, is simply "more Pirate Warriors 2." It doesn't really do anything new outside of the slightly different Kizuna system, and veterans will likely favor the Dream mode instead of the retreading story. Despite its Frankenstein-esque shortcomings, Pirate Warriors 3 is a beautiful game, and still a lot of fun to play locally.

Although One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3 doesn't do an awful lot to distance itself from its predecessor, it still manages to refine almost every existing aspect. Kizuna attacks add some extra flavour to combat, the lengthy story mode is as comprehensive as it can be, and dream log is something that we'd love to see incorporated into future musou titles. However, as with the second game, it's the immensely fun and varied character roster that acts as the wind in this ship's sails. Simply put, Luffy and his crew's latest adventure is a joy to play.

Even if you don't like One Piece then you should just be aware that this is a fantastic game in its own right – just as good as any mainline Warriors game – perhaps even better than a few of them.

While the PC port of One Piece Pirate Warriors 3 is weak in technical terms, the game itself is very playable.  The Dynasty Warriors formula has been honed over endless iterations to be great fun, and if it's a bit on the easy side that's not necessarily a bad thing.

The Switch version of Pirate Warriors 3 may not be the most detailed graphic version out there, but the developers put a considerable amount of work to guarantee the same experience for Nintendo users.

One Piece Pirate Warriors 3 on Switch runs great, is amazing for fans and once again has some great combat. It's a shame that newcomers will feel lost and that losing is so punishing. It does have plenty of content for musou fans and One Piece fans alike.

One Piece Pirate Warriors 3 lands on Switch with a "deluxe edition" that keeps all the pros and cons from the original release: a huge amount of content, repetitive gameplay mechanics and missions, varied modes, faithful visuals to the anime... A game that fits perfectly on Switch, and it's highly enjoyable "on the go".

One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3 is very solid title. It's great fun, action packed and has a great storyline to go with it. Whether you are a fan of the anime or not, theres some awesome times here for anyone that loves to plow through waves of enemies!
