Anima: Gate of Memories I&II Remaster is an experience that navigates the line between charm and flaw, a narrative woven with diverse archetypes, gameplay marked by both strengths and weaknesses, and audiovisual elements that are commendable overall, though not without imperfections. This collection resonates with an audience willing to overlook technical and design shortcomings in exchange for its rich narrative depth and immersive fantasy world, a journey worth the patience.
Read full review ↗Anima: Gate of Memories I & II Remastered is a fun callback to the adventure games of days gone by. Players can easily immerse themselves in its unique, dark world filled with mysteries, but it is the exploration that will keep them coming back for more.

Read full review ↗Anima: Gate of Memories I & II Remaster is a huge mess. With an uninteresting narrative and characters, the game completely fails to hold the player's attention and interest throughout the entire journey.
Read full review ↗Anima: Gate of Memories I & II Remastered does just enough to prevent a 2016 game from bringing tears to our eyes. The improvements in resolution and graphics allow us to enjoy a game with an accessible length (about 15 hours + 10 hours of DLC) and considerable depth in terms of gameplay.

Read full review ↗Anima Gate of Memories: I&II Remaster is a collection that deserves credit for re-releasing two unique titles in the most solid and consistent way possible. It does not attempt to modernize the formula or reinvent it, but aims to provide a more stable experience that is less prone to the original technical issues. The two narrative perspectives contained in a single package emerge today with greater clarity and continuity, representing the true added value of this new edition. It is a recommended collection for those who have never played the series, and a useful opportunity for those who wanted to replay it without the limitations of the past.
Read full review ↗Anima: Gate of Memories I&II is an attempt to revive a franchise that wasn’t well received at the time, but became some sort of cult classic, likely thanks to its fanbase. I have to say that I understand why both of these outcomes occurred, as it is a game with a very interesting world and story, charismatic characters and strong art direction and soundtrack. However, it still suffers from clunky controls, overwhelming bosses and unbalanced gameplay at times, despite this being a re-release.
