Architect Life: A House Design Simulator

For fans of building, architecture and planning add-ons, this is a good choice. It offers a career mode, but also a free mode for those who want to create something creative without any major restrictions. The game is purely focused on building homes, although without any deeper complex management.

For me, Architect Life: A House Design Simulator is a fun and unique title that allowed me to have fun and be creative while doing so, allowing for some interesting and relaxing hours of gameplay.

While the bones of the experience are sound, the console controls and some decisions on what features to prioritize and include make this a tougher deal to close on

Architect Life is a nice little design-your-own-house game, which is definitely not a hard core simulator, but should offer a modicum of fun for those on the highest rung of Maslow's ladder. There is little challenge, and some minor bugs and other annoyances, but at least this is an acceptable entry in a genre that is not too crowded.

Unlike games such as House Flipper or The Sims, here you don’t focus on buying/flipping houses or simulating people’s lives inside a home. Instead, Architect Life gives us some insight into how architects work, while allowing home designers to bring their craziest home ideas to life. The building tools are awesome, and the art style is stunning, not to mention you can play the career mode to challenge yourself or just go full-on creative mode for some relaxing builds.

It is worth it for those looking for a relaxing title, but consider comparing it to other options in the market.

Move over, Kevin McCloud: there's a new architect in town, and it's me. Architect Life is a great deal of fun for anyone who likes to get creative with designing houses. Career mode provides structure while free play lets you go wild with your ideas, and whichever mode you opt for, it's bolstered by intuitive controls and easy-to-learn mechanics.

Overall, Architect Life: A House Design Simulator has a good foundation. If they listen to their audience and implement some small changes, I honestly think this will be a fantastic game. It is with this in mind, I will be rewarding Architect Life: A House Design Simulator with the Thumb Culture Gold Award.
