Bake 'n Switch makes for a fun experience overall but it's hard to deny that certain elements feel bare. With a minimal PvP mode, no single-player option (at launch, anyway) and issues with online progression, it does feel rushed upon delivery but there's still plenty of content to keep players busy. If you can assemble a team of friends, have a younger family to entertain or just want a new multiplayer experience, there's enjoyment to be found here – but it's a cautious recommendation.
Read full review ↗Bake ‘n Switch is a multiplayer couch co-op which strangely works better as a solo journey. Adorable yet mighty, it can not be denied this game has a lot of content with 100 levels under its belt. However, this game comes with frustrating mechanics that let the party vibe elements feel lackluster. It does not hold up against the party favourites such as Overcooked or Jackbox.
Read full review ↗I would have been willing to forgive the lack of options if the PvP content wasn't so limited and the framerate had been a little smoother. Young children will enjoy Bake 'n Switch's cartoonish presentation and casual gameplay. However, older experienced players may quickly lose interest in the simplistic, repetitive gameplay loop after a few hours.
Read full review ↗Bake ‘n Switch has charisma and a fun proposal. The competitive mode delivers a consistent experience, but the main focus, which is the campaign, falls short. The game suffers from imbalance, especially for two players, making the game tiring and frustrating. In addition, a simple method of connecting to other users in online matches is lacking. It is, without a doubt, a title made with care and attention to aesthetic details. But when it comes to gameplay, it needed to bake a little longer.
Read full review ↗Bake 'n Switch is a goofy arcade-style co-op game that features some fun mechanics yet its core gameplay remains rather flat.
