Fight Crab gives dangerous weapons to crabs, and it's a wonderful, hilarious mess of a fighting game.

Much like crabs themselves, I am tremendously glad this game exists, but it’s something I’d rather appreciate at a distance.

If you're willing to set your brain aside and just get down with some crusty bumping, you can count on having a good time. There's a lot to be said about the spectacle of sea bugs throwing down with medieval weaponry. It manages to keep things smelling fresh by putting you through some absolutely bizarre situations, and you'll never forget the first time a lobster comes at you with a revolver. On the other hand, this kind of stupid fun is always fleeting. You're probably not going to spend a lot of time mastering the art of the death pinch, and once the novelty wears off, you'll likely molt your old shell and move on.

Fight Crab is an impressively full-featured and surprisingly good-looking game that transcends its silly meme origins and ends up as something much more. It could end up a staple party game with its joyfully nonsensical premise and well-executed crab simulating gameplay, which goes above and beyond what a crab-battling game really needs to be, and we applaud it. Some novelty titles are a complete flash in the pan, but Fight Crab sticks.

Equal parts fever dream and time-waster, Fight Crab may find a way to sidestep into your library.

Fight Crab is one of the more ridiculous games of 2020.

Fight Crab is a crazy crab battle simulator -yes, as it sounds-, which will allow us to fight against giant crabs in the middle of different scenarios with all kinds of gadgets, from a lightsaber to a scooter. Interesting if one is a fan of absurd adventures. But if we want to go deeper into the game, Fight Crab hides a really deep gameplay that can make us do real atrocities if we are creative.

All of the crab fighters you can unlock are cute, and each feels unique and different. The weapons you can wield range from katana to chair, and it is a blast smashing your opponents with each one. You can play solo, couch co-op, or online. There are so many different arenas and battle modes, and once you find your crab-soulmate, you can level the bejeezus out of them to create your own ultimate crab fighter. Consider this one for your library if you’re a fan of fighting games, silliness, and/or crustaceans!

Fight Crab is one of those games you have to see to believe. But after the charm wears off, you'll be wondering why you're still playing it.

Overall, Fight Crab was a great experience. I believe that games that don’t take themselves too seriously are always needed to balance out heavier stories on the market. When they are as fun as Fight Crab, despite its flaws, I feel like I have a moment to reset my brain and relax to truly enjoy my passion. I recommend this game for those who enjoy 3D fighters but don’t feel like they need to be taken too seriously. This isn’t for serious competition, but for those who enjoy playing a game that you can laugh along with some friends when you get together.
