It feels as if the developers wanted to make a different, more interesting game, but couldn't figure out what they wanted to do with it, so instead they turned it into a sequel for a game that wasn't particularly good or memorable in the first place. You're left with the feeling that they didn't really care about Freddy Spaghetti 2 -- and really, neither should you.

Original idea, playable design even more original, but with a contained and little used execution. Freddy Spaghetti 2 is the new iteration of one of those crazy ideas that are so popular on the outskirts of video game development. And it deserves our eye on it, but both its lack of ambition to continue developing the enormous potential of the game, as well as a simpler level design, and an enormous shortness in duration, leave this game from interesting to curious. And it's not a small thing either, huh?

After reviewing Freddy Spaghetti on PlayStation 4, I didn’t expect to ever see Freddy again. It seemed pretty definitive that the playful noodle had met his end, and that his creator – Dr. P. Starr – regretted ever trying to create a sentient piece of pasta. Apparently, I was wrong. Developers Playful Pasta have rebirthed Freddy in Freddy Spaghetti 2, where he now takes on the role of an office worker with an attitude. This second instalment in the franchise focuses on Freddy’s journey into adult life and taking on the responsibility of employment – not that he shows himself to be responsible, of course.

Freddy Spaghetti 2 has tidied up the bugs that wrecked its predecessor, but the mechanics don't live up to the potential for fun and silliness in the concept.

While I genuinely tend to love games that are weird and funky physics games, at times, can be a blast there are times when those unusual charms just aren't enough...
