FullBlast

At the end of the day, there's not much especially wrong with Fullblast. It plays fine, looks quite nice and even with its minor flaws it's a pretty fun little game. If you haven't experienced much of this genre before you'll probably find it quite refreshing and great fun. Veterans may get an all too familiar feeling of déjà vu and it's definitely not up to the standards set by the true classics, however it's a good enough distraction for a few hours. Let's be clear; there aren't enough of these types of game as it is on modern home consoles, so it's a welcome addition to the Wii U library and it's not going to break the wallet either due to the (current) reasonable price point.

FullBlast joins the growing wave of 2D shoot'em ups that's building up the Nintendo Switch catalogue but other than its fluid gameplay, it doesn't really provide for an intense, gratifying experience in any other way. Repetitive patterns, a dull audiovisual component and an overall feeling of doing the same thing over and over again put FullBlast in the passable efforts category.

Though FullBlast is just a pretty middle-of-the-road title it’s not going to win any awards, and there are certainly multiple indie titles out there that are better in a variety of areas. That said, it isn’t as aggravating as some at the top and not as boring as many at the bottom so since it is also budget-friendly it is at least deserving of an audience. If you were hoping for a shooter with a slightly slower pace that is more forgiving FullBlast is a fine choice.

FullBlast is a small independent product with a nostalgic flavor. It is easy, very short, visually bland and has no reason to replay it. However playing it both alone and accompanied guarantees a good time of fun at a low price. Recommended for those who enjoy the SHMUP genre and are not looking for a challenge.

FullBlast is an average scrolling shooter that will provide enjoyment for an hour or two. The main problem is that it is far too easy, and its ideas are consistently being stretched too thin

FullBlast is a cool vertical shooter which offers a decent amount of content if you opt to play all the levels. The 3D environments make for an interesting battlefield, especially when the screen begins to rotate and you see all the buildings below spin around as you’re taking out the alien invasion. The music is almost a Rock compilation and fits the mood perfectly, it really gets you pumped for showing these E.T.s who’s boss! Just like other Ratalaika Games titles, I would advise you to carry on playing after the 30 minute platinum as the game only gets better as you progress through all 12 levels.

The base game is fun. It's easy and approachable for newcomers. But it doesn't go all that far in any particular aspect.

Fullblast is a fun shoot 'em up on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita with plenty of levels to play for an entry in its genre.

Too many modern shmups are bullet hell shooters, so it’s refreshing to play one that doesn’t totally flood the screen with bullets at every moment. With decently fun gameplay, easy Achievements/Trophies, and a low price, FullBlast offers just enough bang for your buck.

FullBlast is a vertical scrolling shooter that will be sure to hit you in the nostalgia feels as you play through its 12 levels of single or coop action. The game is reminiscent to the arcade shooters of the 80's and 90's. The game supports a heavy metal soundtrack that will keep you pumped up as you shmup your way through multiple levels with 4 mini bosses and 3 mega bosses.
