While I understand at the end of the day this is a kid’s game, the all around simplicity really shows this is a much “younger” game than a lot of previous Hello Kitty games. I had fun playing Freeze Tag Party when there were missions and challenges to do, but just playing the game as it is, isn’t exactly the most fun I have had with the Sanrio characters.

Well, you can't say the game isn't fun for a few hours. It's beautiful, charming, has good and well-implemented ideas, enough content for many hours of gameplay, and a strong sense of progression to keep you engaged.

HELLO KITTY AND FRIENDS: FREEZE TAG PARTY is just so cute and fun to play that even with its simple formula and limited environments, it ends up being a wonderful little shindig that's surprisingly hard to put down. 🎀

Hello Kitty and Friends Freeze Tag Party could also end up with a shockingly grown-up fan base who thought they were just buying a game for their kids and ended up burning the midnight oil to get their Prince Cinnamoroll to level eight and unlock his Invincible Moment.

Their taste might not be fully refined, but this is the type of game that is made for them more than it is for me. They enjoy playing against each other (though they don't understand why they can't be on the same side) and they enjoy cheering each other on in the mission mode. Hello Kitty and Friends: Freeze Tag Party succeeds at what it's trying to do, in that it's a vehicle for young fans to engage with Sanrio characters in a familiar game. It's not a great adaptation of that game, but who doesn't love running around with Tuxedosam.

While quite adorable, family-friendly, and trying to get as much content as possible into it, it’s really only for die-hard Sanrio fans or kids in the end

Hello Kitty and Friends: Freeze Tag Party is the ultimate party game of Sanrio characters. While the gameplay can get dull pretty fast, it accomplishes what it wants to be, and that's a very simple game of tag. The variety of solo missions will keep you engaged for a while. This Hello Kitty game misses the opportunity to include multiplayer, as you are limited to local co-op or split-screen.
