Solid and definitely have an audience. There could be some hard-to-ignore faults, but the experience is fun.
Read full review ↗Phantasy Reverie Series is a relatively no-frills remaster collection. There's a couple of quality of life improvements and the games have a fresh lick of high definition paint, but if you didn't like Klonoa back in the day then you're not going to like it now. If you didn't play Klonoa at the time then you won't have the prerequisite nostalgia goggles necessary to gaze upon these games and see them for anything more than what they are - a couple of pretty good platformers and little else, and that's fine.
Read full review ↗Make no mistake, Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series is the best way to currently play these two platforming classics and Namco has done a decent job of presenting these titles in the best possible light. With around 25 hours of dreamy, retro-styled platforming contained in this package, Klonoa veterans and younger platforming fans will find lots to love in the whimsical worlds and puzzle-platforming level design on offer here. Some performance issues aside, it's tough not to fall in love with this duology. Catch it when you can.
Read full review ↗Overall, the Klonoa Phantasy Reverie series is an excellent remaster of two fantastic games that manage to subvert your expectations. Both games are awesome platformers that have a lot of ambition in their level design attached to them. The only real detriment is that both games are very short in length, clocking in at around 3-4 hours each for the initial completion.
Read full review ↗Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series is one of the most oddly-named collections ever, but features two top-notch platformers in their definitive editions.
Read full review ↗For such a cult franchise, it's a real shame there is so little to offer outside of the base titles included in this package, especially when full price is being asked. In other titles and remakes, some real love has gone into providing a nostalgic piece of history in one cart. If, however, this is your first time round, Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series will provide a good chunk of great platforming fun, but just that. Nothing else. At all.
Read full review ↗We are happy that Bandai Namco gave life to the series and we hope to see more things in the near future.
Read full review ↗Which is the better game is debatable- but it is hard to ignore that Door to Phantomile has fewer areas that get recycled, while Lunatea’s Veil constantly introduces new ideas. No matter what, both titles are masterworks and anyone who enjoys Kirby or Nights into Dreams will surely find Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series to be very appealing.
Read full review ↗Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series is a dream come true for those who appreciate its value, but it lacks enough content to create a compelling purpose for someone to play through the games again.
Read full review ↗Klonoa was a wonderful series that didn’t last very long. It is incredible to see it come back, and more beautiful than ever. These games are truly chill and a joy to play and I am thrilled to see them come back. I hope Bandai Namco decides to give us a truly resurgence of the series, and maybe even DLC to add the portable versions that came out along the way. It is awesome we live in an age where even some of the obscure classics can make a return. Klonoa is still as charming as ever and I don’t want the series to disappear for another handful of years.
