Why play it

Landflix Odyssey is a 2D Platformer that mixes many gameplay elements from various genres. Play as Larry, a lazy binge watcher who ends up in a dimension that’s based upon his favorite Landflix (a video-on-demand parody) TV shows.

Despite the lack of a single original idea to call its own, Landflix Odyssey is saved by its gameplay, which is both challenging and fun. Each stage is just the right length if you want to drop in and out, and there’s enough here to keep you busy for a good four or five hours altogether. If you’re willing to forgive the poor translation and weak attempt at parody, then Landflix Odyssey is a solid 2D platformer worth checking out.

Landflix Odyssey isn't a revolutionary title by any stretch but it is a fun and mostly well-realised diversion that takes a light-hearted look at our TV obsessions. The different worlds offer some nice variation, but some are definitely more successful than others. I could have happily lived without the frustrating slowdown mechanics of the Going Mad levels for sure. It might not get you obsessed like your newest favourite TV series, but it shouldn't make you reach for the remote either.

Landflix Odyssey is a decent 2D platformer with simple yet enjoyable gameplay and a sense of humour behind it.

In the end, Landflix Odyssey is a decent game. Sure, it can be a bit lame on the originality, but the platforming works well and the gimmick for each show is fun. There will be times you’ll be fed up with the trial and error style of gameplay, but I always found myself going back to it for one more try. It is definitely one of those game where you have to play it not the way you would but how the developers made it. For the platforming fans, it’s a decent trip. If you’re not really into perfecting a level in a game, I would suggest looking somewhere else for your platforming fix.

As a silly spoof game, Landflix Odyssey is jam-packed with parodies of TV shows that'll keep you glued to your TV with its fun gameplay.

Landflix Odyssey is one of the most jam-packed content indie games I’ve played in recent memory. While the core is a 2D action platformer, the fact that each chapter brings something different makes it feel like a bundle of five different games. While the game’s difficulty feels uneven through each “show” along with pain in the ass boss battles, the amount of content here makes up for it. It will test your patience and skills; there’s definitely a lot of bang for your buck here.

LandFlix Odyssey is an excellent platform title, with a beautiful aesthetic and above all it is entertaining and fun; However, I highlighted it a couple of times in the analysis, this is so, to go the safe way, it is not bad at all, just do not expect to find a revolutionary or inclusive platform different from the rest in Landflix.
