Remnant 2: The Awakened King doesn’t do anything too wild or reinvent the wheel, but that’s probably for the best, as the core game is already fantastic. It adds more content to an already outstanding action RPG and continues building on the scale and depth of its world. Content-wise, there’s plenty there with a handful of new bosses, dungeons, and an all-new Archetype. If Remnant 2 already had its hooks in you with the base game, you’ll like what Gunfire Games has to offer here. If you haven’t, now is as good a time as any.
Read full review ↗Even without the niceties of a new mode or that significant an addition to the overarching plot, The Awakened King's exciting array of loot to acquire, an impressively-built setting to explore and fights to conquer serve as a promising start to Gunfire's post-launch support for Remnant II. That the team have proven once again they can offer even more means for players to further experiment and tinker with their set-up is a testament to just how impressive a delivery the sequel remains and how exciting future prospects may look in the coming months.

Read full review ↗The Awakened King is a tough nut to crack. On the one hand, we have extensive side content and brilliantly designed visuals, and on the other hand, negligible story content when it comes to the main storyline and still poor optimization.
Read full review ↗Remnant II: The Awakened King offers a significant amount of new content and improvements to the base game, and new areas, items and NPCs provide players with a fresh and exciting experience, but unfortunately does not fix existing problems. The increased trait cap and new archetype add reasonable depth to character development and offer new playstyles to explore that can be enjoyed for dozens of hours, but doesn't have a huge story aspect to it. What about monsters? They added a few elites and that's quite enough. But they added just... one of the usual monsters. If you play for the world and bosses then this addition you will like it, but if for the sake of the plot then you may be a little disappointed.
Read full review ↗The Awakened King isn't a terrible addition to the base game, even if its highlights don't quite reach the same highs. While the content is decent and offers some fun new gameplay options, it's nothing amazing.
Read full review ↗Remnant 2 The Awakened King is a solid DLC that follows the path of Remnant 2 success. The additions touch on the longevity of the game, increase the level cap and nothing more. Nothing revolutionary, but everything works perfectly.
Read full review ↗Remnant II: The Awakened King gives players a new adventure beyond the Worldstone with new loot and a new Archetype. What it doesn't give is a good reason why you should play it other than the fact you bought it.
Read full review ↗The Awakened King builds on the story of the world of Losomn and adds a good amount of loot and content to Remnant II.
Read full review ↗Remnant 2’s The Awakened King DLC is simply more Remnant 2, for better or for worse. Much of it is just rehashed content from the base game, but the new enemies, bosses, and weapons are refreshing.
