Playing this excellent port of Resident Evil Village - Gold Edition in handheld is transformative. The whole experience is here with all of its fingers intact, though the same can't be said of the protagonist. For Nintendo fans who haven't had a chance to play this Resident Evil instalment, this is a fantastic entry point. With a few performance patches, it could well be one of the best ways to play bar none. Successfully following RE7, Village is a good jump off point for people looking for a less concentrated experience than RE: Requiem. Highly recommended horror gaming!

Resident Evil Village Gold Edition is another fantastic package for fans of the franchise and newcomers on the Nintendo Switch 2. It has the “Winters Expansion” from the jump, which contains a compelling and highly replayable Mercenaries mode, as well as a fairly lengthy post-game DLC. This gives you the most bang for your buck when it comes to Resident Evil Village. While in my opinion it’s one of the weaker entries in the franchise, I still believe Resident Evil Village is well worth playing, and I did really enjoy coming back to the game after a couple of years. I would steer away from the third-person mode, though. Performance isn’t quite perfect, but it’s still a great performing title on the Nintendo Switch 2.

Resident Evil Village: Gold Edition, offers a tense, action-packed thrill-ride through some wonderfully styled sub-genres of horror. With so much to explore, collect, and fall prey to, it'll keep fans engaged for quite a while, and rekindle fandom for those who lost it.

Resident Evil Village Gold Edition remains one of the most compelling installments in the modern series, combining action, exploration, and horror in a varied and distinctive adventure. Its arrival on Nintendo Switch 2 allows players to enjoy the complete game with all its content in a competent port that preserves its atmosphere. While performance isn't as robust as on other platforms, with occasional framerate drops and some expected loss of quality, the overall experience remains highly enjoyable both on TV and in handheld mode.

"Shines on Nintendo Switch 2" Resident Evil Village Gold Edition offers a complete survival horror experience that combines intense combat and exploration within a richly detailed world. The Gold Edition gives players all the previous content with expanded gameplay options such as a third-person perspective, making the experience even more diverse. Despite some technical issues with the handheld mode, the game remains one of the strongest modern horror experiences on mobile devices, offering a thrilling adventure for fans of the series.

Resident Evil Village transitions to Switch 2 as a robust, content-complete package that expertly balances Gothic horror with RE4-style action. While its ambitious scale leads to occasional frame drops and dialed-back reflections, the addition of third-person mode and "Shadows of Rose" makes this an essential, highly scalable showcase of portable power.

Resident Evil Village’s Gold Edition is a solid way to experience the full campaign and all its extra content for newcomers. It’s $50 for the whole thing, or $20 if you already own Village and want the new expansions. RE:Verse is a huge miss, but the third-person camera, expansion, and Mercenaries content more than make up for it.

Resident Evil Village Gold Edition boasts a really wide range of content, and able to satisfy the tastes of a wide range of fans. Fans of the iterations of the series in the third person will find a good reason to relive the exploits of Ethan Winters once again, while those who do not hold the tension too well could take advantage of the new view to better manage it, so as to recover an adventure with some ideas less in focus but with an enveloping atmosphere, a playful substrate of level and a visual presentation of great caliber.
