She Sees Red is really action from the beginning to the end, great performances of the actors, costumes and make-up give everything the right atmosphere. The ingenious camera work, very good cuts, the film's plot and the possibility of multiple endings, all of which are quite interesting in their own way, are a big plus. However, the negative side of this game is the genre itself. It's really hard in this day and age to captivate players with gameplay that is done in a simple clicker fashion. For some more demanding people, this style of gameplay can be boring. We recommend the game to anyone who wants more of a break from the demanding keyboard mashing, and is in the mood to watch a movie in which they themselves are the driving force behind the action.

She Sees Red is a title which blends the genres of film and video game. This interactive movie from Rhinotales became available to play on the Xbox platform in August this year. I spent some time over the New Year playing through the different storylines to bring you this rapid review.

She See Red is an Interactive thriller that wants to look quite like Black Mirror: Bandersnatch after its huge success. Unfortunately, the possibilities given to the player-viewer do not change the script much.

She Sees Red is a great addition to the FMV genre. It features a thrilling, griping story which will have you guessing through the 2/3rds of your second playthrough to find out the truth. While the English voice-acting is told in a robotic kind of manner, it doesn’t take away from the story-telling. It takes about an hour and a half to do both runs so it’s a nice diversion. Don’t miss it.

The execution sometimes falls a little short but for a first project you have to commend the effort and vision; the developers are right to view it as an area of untapped potential. Whether or not it’s the future of TV remains to be seen, but we could stand to have a few more experiments of this nature.

For the domestic producers She Sees Red is certainly a huge step forward. But if you compare this project with other FMV-games like The Infectious Madness of Doctor Dekker and Her Story, the release of Rhinotales inferior in most parameters. And, of course, the most important drawback - the timing of 35 minutes per walkthrough – it's not so much for a game. However, if you want to try something new and watch an interactive movie with a good story before going to bed, then She Sees Red will be ok.

An FMV interactive thriller that's rather light on the "interactive" element. Choices are sparse and do little to promote player agency but some solid production and a stylish, campy aesthetic save the experience.

Well-acted and with an intriguing story, She Sees Red is a short FMV game that fans of the genre are sure to enjoy. But do yourself a favour and play it in a few sittings, because without a way to skip past scenes, it can be a pretty painful slog to see the game’s four endings.
