Super Cane Magic ZERO is simply too precious, too uniquely itself, to be appreciated by everyone.

Overall, Super Cane Magic ZERO feels like a good game that could have been great. I still enjoyed my time with it, but I feel like if the gameplay was just smoothed out a little more then it would be in my top games list. As it is right now, I still recommend the game for its $19.99 price point. Especially if you have 4 friends for the couch co-op. Me and my friends had an absolute blast. I got about 9 hours of enjoyment out of it, and I’m sure you can get more by going back and finding secrets, as well as playing the minigames with a few friends.

Super Cane Magic Zero is a crazy, weird, out of this world game that is fun for the first hour or so before getting frustrated with the controls and attempts at weird humor.

Super Cane Magic ZERO is full of charm and fun dialog, but the gameplay could've been more varied.

Super Cane Magic ZERO brings a mix of cartoonish art style and absurd comedy plot to a 2D action RPG and results in one of the most original efforts of the genre in the last few years. While the game's loading times and sound components could definitely use improvements, as well as the instructions regarding plot advances, the game provides a fun experience and it encourages the players to experiment, bringing an additional layer of fun in the form of its cooperative multiplayer component.

I'm mostly disappointed in Super Cane Magic Zero. The fun, dumb world and deep RPG mechanics could have hooked me, but the punishing repetition and clunky combat kept me angry through almost all of my playtime. An extremely specific group of hardcore goofballs could have fun with Super Cane Magic Zero, but most players can find a better use for a group of friends.

As is currently stands, Super Cane Magic Zero is just too frustrating to wholeheartedly enjoy.

‘Nonsense’ is the specialty of Super Cane Magic ZERO. The action-RPG tasks the player to save the land of WOTF after a magician’s dog named AAAH inexplicably gains powers and drives it into magic-induced insanity following the death of their owner. Unfortunately, Studio Evil doesn’t seem to know when exactly to reel things in.

Using its unique visual style to attract the player, Super Cane Magic ZERO delivers a surprisingly deep and fun experience that is even better with other players, even if a few problems keep it from being a better game.

Super Magic Cane Zero is a great little loot-em-up that offers some fantastic local multiplayer action. The random loot mechanic will keep you coming back whilst the ridiculous storyline and setting should bring a smile to even the most joyless gamer. The difficulty is a bit much on anything but Easy, but it's still a fun grinder in single player and a multiplayer gem with friends and family. If nothing else, the fun of watching your gaming companions swallow a rock that looks like Donald Trump is a unique experience.
