Read full review ↗From destroying a legendary piece of animation to scattershotting sprite filtering to no useful end, this is a fumble that makes my heart hurt. The restored skits are nice, but that’s like pouring a glass of water on a fire.

Read full review ↗A nostalgic JRPG adventure with memorable characters, engaging combat, and quality-of-life improvements, despite some dated mechanics and chaotic battles.
Read full review ↗Tales of Eternia Remastered from developer TOSE is a fun game with a strong narrative that still maintains its RPG roots. The gameplay lacks its once-innovative variety and still feels like an early-2000s title at its core. Still, this old title has some good charm.
Read full review ↗Tales of Eternia Remastered is a careful remaster rather than a lazy port, and it retains the feel of the late 1990s and early 2000s. Skits, redone voices, quality-of-life tools, and flexible difficulty make it the project's strongest remaster so far. It is easy to lose hours to it, since scenes and dungeons move briskly, and walking through familiar locations with clearer backgrounds is a treat.
Read full review ↗Tales of Eternia Remastered attempts to recapture the excitement experienced on PlayStation. However, it arrives on the new generation with little charisma and lacking the brilliance it likely had.
Read full review ↗Absolutely, fans of the franchise must play Tales of Eternia, especially if they never got a chance to. This remaster includes some great quality of life improvements that help blend the old with the new without tarnishing the original vision. The game's age still comes through in many aspects, but the new additions help pave the way for a new audience to experience a long-sought franchise entry in the Tales of franchise.
Read full review ↗Tales of Eternia Remastered brings back one of the most memorable adventures in the Tales of series, with its touching story, enjoyable combat system, and beautiful art direction. Despite some outdated design elements and improvements that don’t cover every aspect of the game, it manages to preserve the charm of the original while delivering a classic experience that is still worth discovering.
