WarDogs: Red's Return

WarDogs: Red's Return is enjoyable but messy. The fighting is fine, but the little things, like the delayed indication that an enemy has died, the unnecessary slow-motion sequences, and the instances of getting stuck in a juggle combo make it feel unpolished. The upgrade system would be fine if it worked, while the short campaign and lack of modes make WarDogs a disposable title that's good for an afternoon. Thanks to the price, WarDogs is still worth checking out if you want to build up the list of games that you've completed over your lifetime.

‎WarDogs: Red's Return is ‎‎exactly what it appears to be;‎‎ a simple beat em up, ‎‎without great aspirations‎‎ and enjoyable at times, which could frustrate some of the players who play in it, due to the way he uses the camera during the levels. If you ‎‎get used‎‎ to the use of this, you can enjoy a title that meets in terms of duration and quite playable, but that leaves a lot to be desired in the rest of the sections. This title presents us with a story that, although simple,‎‎ manages to hook players ‎‎and be aware that it will be the next thing that happens in this one.‎

Let's face it, though the beat-em-up genre got off to a slow start on the Switch the current roster is pretty great and there are a few treats in the pipeline that will make genre representation even better moving forward...
