Wings of Bluestar

Wings of Bluestar is an enjoyable arcade-style shoot ’em up. If you are someone who enjoys a good, quick session of playtime, this is definitely up your alley.

Wings of Bluestar is a middling yet solid shoot 'em up that may not stand out in the genre but it's fun for the short while that it lasts.

Wings of Bluestar is another case of ok game that could have been much better. All the issues above, as well as the outdated animations and backgrounds don't make it unplayable but there are certainly better options at the same price.

A well-made game for fans of the bullet-hell genre, with a rich narrative for lore lovers and physical proof that you can make anything with time, patience and money for a professional composer.

Though I was hoping to start the new year on a high note, Wings of Bluestar just wasn’t up to snuff. It’s not a horrible game, but it’s incredibly mediocre, with bland design, poor writing, and generic boss battles. While it’s relatively affordable, it’s nevertheless very hard to recommend to hardcore Shmup fans.
