While familiar and breezy, TOEM 2 smartly uses its novel camera mechanic as the lens for solving neat photographic puzzles and observing its charming monochrome world.
Read full review ↗Toem 2 is a cute sequel, but the adventure game magic of original has been streamlined out.
Read full review ↗This isn't a cozy game — there are none of the farming or life-sim elements that are usually associated with that genre — but it is a game that is best played when you're cozy.
Read full review ↗A rewarding jaunt that's sure to win a child's heart, the adventure feels like it's over before it truly begins.
Read full review ↗Ultimately, TOEM 2 is a charming experience that offers several hours of relaxing entertainment through its beautiful art style, creative characters, and enjoyable exploration. However, overly simple quests, a lack of challenge, and the limited use of its new mechanics prevent it from becoming more than a familiar adventure.
Read full review ↗Not every sequel needs to reinvent the wheel. It is just as important when a game maintains its identity while bringing a couple of new things to the table. Small but meaningful changes can go a long way. Clueless that there would ever be a sequel, what a joy it is to live in a world where a game like Toem 2 exists. Taking photographs, making friends, admiring everything life has to offer. It doesn’t get better than that, and developer Something We Made knows it.
Read full review ↗Toem 2’s charms largely come from its silly eccentric cast of characters, but its heart lies in the universal reverence for the wonders of the natural world.
Read full review ↗The follow-up to the charming picture-taking original doesn’t deviate much from the original formula, but still delivers a wholesome and satisfying journey
Read full review ↗Toem 2 is a charming, relaxing, and very fun adventure for those who enjoy exploring and uncovering secrets at their own pace. The use of the camera remains ingenious, and completing the worlds 100% is well worth the effort, but as a sequel, it’s a bit too conservative. Still, I recommend it.
Read full review ↗TOEM 2 is the kind of game you fire up and all of your problems go away, at least temporarily. Your mind will get lost in its whimsical world and, suddenly, mooching about and taking photos is all you need to worry about. Call it therapy, call it fun, call it what you like, but TOEM 2 is delightful and good for the soul.
