Bear With Me is an episodic noir adventure game. Amber is trying to find her missing brother while being aided by her trusty teddy, Ted E. Bear. Being haunted by nightmares, Amber wakes up in the middle of the night only to find out that her brother Flint is missing. She seeks help from her trusted teddy, Ted E. Bear, a retired grumpy old detective. The dynamic duo sets out to hunt for clues and interrogate all the witnesses and suspects unaware of the dangers that recently started happening to residents of Paper City. The plot thickens as a mysterious "red man" has been seen starting fires around Paper City and looking for little miss Amber.

Bear With Me for the Nintendo Switch is a point and click adventure based on a detective investigation story and it does a good job at presenting a strong, emotional story with a very humorous overtone and a remarkable art style. Nonetheless, the fluctuating difficulty of its puzzles, the mediocre voice work and some problems with finding objects due to the very same art style end up feeling like obstacles. Fans of point and click games will be able to look beyond this, other players might feel less tempted.

I would fully recommend Bear with Me: The Complete Collection to anyone looking for a narrative driven story game. Even if they wouldn’t normally be drawn to a point and click adventure, I honestly believe the story itself is strong enough to carry the game beyond its mechanics.

Blending the storytelling of film noir with the premise of a child playing with toys, Bear With Me: The Lost Robots is a point-and-click adventure game that manages to be a lighthearted romp and a gritty crime story at the same time.

The positives far outweigh any negatives here, with the occasional breaking of the fourth wall, cinema and game references providing lighter tones throughout.
