Doughlings: Arcade is a fun, albeit repetitive experience that’s saving grace is its level creator. Arcade fans and block breaker fans will definitely enjoy this game. It’s a simple, humorous adventure with enough to content to justify its low price. But beware the game’s flaws before deciding to pick it up.

I found Doughlings: Arcade to be a lot of fun and very addictive with tons of replay value. You won't get three stars on all levels on your first go, and you may need the abilities of other characters to help you achieve three stars in some of them, so that is where the replayability comes into play. It's an entertaining and relaxing game that gamers of all skill levels and ages can play. I recommend you give the game a download on the Nintendo Switch since it's definitely worth the price tag.

Doughlings: Arcade is a game based on classical brick-breakers. Developers showed us our passion by producing articles about the genre and by creating the game that takes from the best of its kind. Niche game though.

Doughlings Arcade is quick to play and easy to pick up on the go. The gameplay is tougher than it seems which adds a lot to the simplicity of the gameplay.

Doughlings Arcade draws its inspiration from some classical puzzle games and it's not embarrassed to show it. With a simple and accessible gameplay, as well as a level editor and online rankings, this certainly feels fun when played on short sessions but the feeling of repetitiveness quickly takes over and it also becomes apparent that beyond its inspirations, Doughlings Arcade does not offer anything significant that makes it an outstanding proposal.

Doughlings isn’t going to make any waves in the gaming world, but Turkish developer Hero Concept delivered a solid title, especially since it has been many years since any notable Arkanoid clone has been released. This classic formula equates to fun gamers of any age.

Taking a crack at improving a classic can always be a tough business but finding a smart way to combine two takes some creativity. For the most part I’d consider that effort a success and for the right crowd Doughlings: Arcade should be a fun and even somewhat challenging ride. A mix of skill and strategy is necessary, especially as you get on in levels, and small but smart touches like the level coming to an end once you’ve cleared the majority of pieces remove the classic frustration of trying to get rid of the last 2 or 3 bricks on the screen. If you’ve been looking for a fresh take on some classics it’s a solid choice.

All in all, Doughlings is a nice little classic game to play. It’s a good throwback to older games while still being fun for gamers today.

Doughlings: Arcade, at first glance, may seem like an outdated game from the early 2000s, but spend a bit of time with it and you'll soon see it's a fun, modern twist on a classic.
