Dusty Raging Fist

Dusty Raging Fist brings back the beloved beat'em up genre to the Nintendo Switch and while it doesn't reinvent the formula, it certainly does a decent job with its visuals, simple combat mechanics and its three-player co-op mode. It could be even better with more emphasis on the fighting techniques and some tweaks to its gameplay when it comes to the leveling up of characters and challenge.

Featuring 3 playable characters (and the ability to allow your friends to control the other 2 if you’re able) you’ll choose between the title balanced bunny Dusty, the quick and slashing fox Kitsune, and the burly brawler by the name of Darg...

Dusty Raging Fist is a fun beat ‘em up on PlayStation 4 that pays homage to the classics of the genre while also mixing things up to give us something new. The available characters are charming and offer different stats and skills, the support characters add an extra layer of strategy. The game has a nice art style, and it features some voice acting that brings the characters to life. The one thing I didn't like is the music since I felt it didn't fit the overall vibe of the game.

Dusty Raging Fist shows clearly its pros and cons. The game has a pretty decent character design and some good beat'em up sequences, but the narrative and the gameplay fall short. Plus, there are some irritating frame drop from time to time.

The game ultimately is passable, but at the same time it is clear that a little more polish was needed before calling it a day on this one

With its gorgeous hand drawn animated graphics, beautiful character designs, and fun-to-master combo system, Dusty Raging Fist is an exceedingly fun beat 'em up to play with friends or solo, and despite its small flaws it is an engaging and enjoyable experience any fan of the genre will love.

Unresponsive combat, atrocious platforming and game breaking bugs, crashes and frame rate issues ensures that Dusty and his cohort will soon be gathering dust on player's shelves.
