I really liked My Big Sister; it was an enjoyable, thought-provoking, short-form game that really hit the spot when I was in the mood for something a bit different from the other games I’ve been tackling. It has a distinctive atmosphere, a lovely aesthetic, some wonderful writing and characterisation and a really pleasant blend of horror and light-heartedness. And I suspect if you try it for yourself you, like me, will find yourself very interested in exploring the rest of Stranga’s catalogue!

My Big Sister is the adventure genre at its simplest form. The solution to each "puzzle" is so evident that the only challenge here will be the struggle to stay awake. The horror-esque plot, and mature themes explored could help a lot, but they are handled in a manner that the average player will be left scratching his/her head about whether this is a dry comedy with some darkness thrown in, or a dark fantasy story coupled with some low-key humour.

My Big Sister is not very bombastic when it comes to its most visible elements, namely its puzzles and how similar they are among them. Where this game shines the most is when it comes to the quality of its plot and character interaction, which leads to multiple endings and a greater appeal to the player's curiosity. If its lifespan was longer and its puzzles more varied, My Big Sister could very well be a much more compelling game.

In the end, My Big Sister had a story that stands out from the crowd. With multiple outcomes, it certainly does hold the value of it's asking price of $5.99. Players looking for a more traditional RPG experience may want to steer away. If, however, you're seeking a good puzzler RPG with a decent sense of humor that helps lighten some dark themes, then My Big Sister is something to check out.

It’s a very humble game. We don’t find a complex gameplay or an impressive artistic style, but if you like stories with some fantasy-horror and paranoia, you will can enjoy this short experience.

If you like this retro style for games, My Big Sister will reward you with a very strong story, with a nice creepy atmosphere and dark sense of humour.

My Big Sister is a pixelated top-down game with interesting premise. The light puzzles and weirdly appealing cast keep the game fairly light-hearted, but be prepared for some serious topics to come up. It doesn't take long to beat, but it's worth the time.
